Mojo Monday on a Friday Night

Image
Happy Friday Friends, This week went by really fast and I am so glad it did. I have a craft fair to get ready for and it seems like during the week, I cant get the time in to get organized . So, I have about 200 Christmas cards that I want to complete and other misc. Christmas items, Like Reindeer food and little goodies like that. So, onto the card sketch, This one is from Mojo Monday and what a fun one it was. I just got this cool DSP and was wanting to put something together with it. It is MME "Breeze"  Pretty, huh?  What you see  below is I sprayed the yellow flag panel with radiant pearls for a little bit of shimmer. The sentiment is one of which I have in my stash. I heat embossed in black. You cant really see the shininess of it but it added some shiny to the creation. So, I am off to work on some Christmas stuff but I will return very soon! Have a great weekend all!

"Gorgeous Grunge" is the name of it and it is so so much fun!!  All of the supplies that I used on this creation are from Stampin Up! The sentiment is from an old SU! set "Best Yet"   This creation is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.Aren't the new "In colors great"? I used Strawberry slush and coastal cabana on this along with going grey, basic black and white. So, there you have it. What do you think? I would love to hear your comments!! I will be

Hello friends, I have been away from my blog for a bit. I guess I have been a little busy but that is no excuse, lol! I was cruisin around blogger world and found this sweetness and just wanted to share with you all. It is over at Cuddlebug cuties . What a great blog.  and look at that candy, Saweet!!   Now, for a creation that I created for a challenge. It is from Mojo Monday and I have had it done for a few days but this is the first chance I have had to post it.  So, here is the sketch from Mojo Monday . Fun and pretty easy .    And here is the completed card. Pretty easy and really cute. I have to say, the cutest thing about this card is the decorated stick pins. I make them all the time but I never add them to my projects. I need to start using them. It's like with my paper, It is so darn pretty, I don't want to use it. Does anyone else have that problem? LOL! S, there you have it. I hope you enjoyed all the goodies that I had to share with you all. I am hopi

Washi Washi, I used Washi!!!

So, below I have a card that I created for 2 challenges. The first one being Sweetest Thing blog . Isn't the little birdie so cute? Even though this was a single layer card, I still love it! I sometimes feel like, if I don't add 2 or 3 layers to a card, It looks nekkid(naked) but this one I really really love! The 2nd. challenge was to use Washi on a creation over at The "Simply less is more" Blog . Well, That was an easy one. I only have a gazallion rolls of Washi. So this was a really really fun project for me. You see, I do have a gazillion rolls of washi in every color and pattern imaginable and I really like the stuff but I never know when to use it. Does anyone else have that problem? I guess I need to find more challenges that include using Washi, LOL! So, with that being said, I have to go and get ready for the first day of school tomorrow, Booooo!!! This summer just flew by, Can it be July again? Ok, well have a great rest of the week and I will see you a

Oh my goodness, A scrap book layout

Image
Happy Friday everyone, I have been a busy little bee lately with my papers and Ink. I am so excited to share with you all, A scrapbook layout that I completed today. When I saw this sketch on Sketchabilities ,I was like, omg,  I gotta play! I had the perfect picture for it! This is our "baby" Cooper! My husband and I always argue on who loves the baby more. LOL! That's what we refer to him as, "The Baby" So, the photo I used is one that we took of Coop at the park. He loves to fetch the ball and bring it back to us for a treat(he is very food motivated) well, he had been going back and forth for quiet a while and so he was taking a breather and I caught this smile on his face. Is he not adorable or what? I could create 100 scrapbook pages with just photos of "The Baby" but I wont bore you with anymore Cooper stories, Instead, I will leave you with this layout that I did following the sketch from Sketchabilities . I really, really like how this page

Sweet Sketch and it's Wednesday!!!

Hello Friends. I am going to make this a quick post to share another challenge card that I created. I have been a busy little bee with the challenges and I want to get another one started. I think maybe a 12X12 scrapbook layout. It has been a while since I have done any scrap booking and I really want to get some done, so we shall see. For the time being, Here I have a sketch that I did from "Sweet Sketch Wednesday" This, for some reason was a difficult challenge for me. I think it is because of the designer papers that I used. I don't know why, but I had a hard time matching them up with card stock. That sounds really odd but it's all I can figure, LOL! . I love this image that I used(gorjuss Girls). It has been a long time since I had colored in an image and used it on my creation so I took a little time to shade her in with my Copics. I did also use Spicas on the flower to add a little sparkle cause I ♥ sparkle! Supplies used- basic black cardstock from Stam

Happy Thursday Friends, I don't know about you all but this week is flying by. Spring break just doesn't last long enough. I can actually say that I have 100% enjoyed this week off. Any swaps that I am in I have completed and sent off so I have been able to devote 100% of my creative time to challenges. I love love love challenges. If I ever get into a slump, challenges really help me out.  So, I am now going to share with you a card that I have created for 2 challenges. The first one being a sketch challenge from Sweet Sketch Wednesday . Now this sketch was so much fun!  I dont know if you can tell too well but I used Smooch Pearlized top coat on the flowers to add some sparkle. I love sparkle! Any place I can add it, I will! So, for the 2nd. challenge, It is for 365 Cards  challenge blog and the challenge was to use Embossing and sponging. 2 challenge kinda night

Image
Hello Friends, Well here I am, Tuesday and I have actually completed another creation. I had so much fun with this one. I actually completed 2 challenges in one sitting! So the first challenge site, City Crafter challenge Blog , Now this challenge was unique. Each design team member(4 of them) had a supply listed on their blog that you had to use in your creation. Now you didn't have to use all 4 items, You could use only 1 or 2,etc. but you had to use at least 1. The items were, Mist or spray, Embossing of some sort,Pearls and or Circle dies. So, with that being said, I did use all 4. I not only die cut a scallop circle but I also die cut a regular circle in the middle of that scallop one. I also sprayed that circle with a smooch spritz sparkle.   I also used a chevron embossing folder on the circle. So, that leaves the pearls. I used them on not only the butterfly but also in the center of the 3 little flowers. I really had fun with this one. I just wanted to keep adding s

It's Mojo Monday & Spring Break

Image
Happy Spring Break everyone. I have the whole week off and other than trying to get some "Spring Cleaning" in, I am also trying to get just as much creative time in! This feels so nice to not have anything that I "have" to do this week. It's been a long time since that has happened. So, with that being said, Here I have for you a sketch challenge card that I created for Mojo Monday . I love Mojo's challenges. I always find myself getting lost in the sketch. Lovin it!!!  My color scheme was Oranges,Pinks and Yellows. I think this paper line is from Basic Grey. The "Just Because" stamped image is from Stampin Up! and is stamped in Melon Mambo. I also used some orange bling and used a "Darice" embossing folder on the white scallop piece. I roughed up all of the edges of the paper with my distressor. I was going for that shabby chic look. So, that is pretty much the details of my creation. I hope you all enjoy it and I will be back soon
Image
Happy St. Patricks Day everyone . I hope you all have had a wonderfully green day!! The weather here in Northern California is so perfect, You would think it was already Spring. So, onto my creation. I created this card for The Cardabilities sketch challenge #71 . The paper I used is from a 6X6 paper pad from Melissa Francis called C'est la vie. I love the soft colors. I was going for the shabby chic look and I think I accomplished that. This creation is 4 3/4X 4 3/4. I did some sewing around the edge of it in blue and added the shabby blue flowers. My final touch was the bling. Not only did I add the bling to the center of each flower, I also added the swirl for that extra blingy touch. I really like the way this card turned out, What do you think?   Well, I am off to do some more creating! Come back again soon to see what I have going on!

Lovein me some challenges!

Image
Happy Sunday Friends, How has everyone been?  Is everyone creatin lots!! I have been a little creative this weekend. I am entering this creation into 2 challenges. The first i s The SP & Company Blog Color challenge # 136. I put quiet a bit of detail into this card. I used my Fancy Fan embossing folder and Swiss dots on this card. I also did some sewing on the yellow panel. I have been trying to implement sewing on more and more of my creations. I really want to sew better and be able to create fun things with fabric. The stamp set that I used is also from Sp & Company and is called "Sunshine Emma" I was debating on using some bling on the "Have a super happy day" banner. Also, if you look close, look at the top of the banner. Can you see her hands? I wanted to make it look like she was holding it.  I am pretty happy with the way this card turned out and I hope that you all enjoy it as well! The patterned paper that I used is from both Pink Paislee and Ec
