"Time well spent"

Image
Okay, I came home from work early today, I am feelin icky! Darn cold! Well after catching some ZZZZZ's and taking some Airborne(That stuff really works) I felt good enough to do some creating. so this is what I came up with. My friend Christina sent me some images of "time well spent" which I have to say that is my new most faveriotist set, too bad it is a level 3 set and I probably wont get it until it is no longer available, But hey, thats ok. I'll patiently wait! Well here it is. I used cameo coral for the base of the card and the scallop is tempting turquois. I then punched holes into the flower and ran kneedlepoint thread from the middle out to the edge. then addeda turquoise brad. I hope you all like it. !

Belli It Up! Challange

Image
Another challenge, I am beginning to love doing these challenges! This one is from Chrissy's " Belli It Up! Go and check out her site! Pretty cool stuff! Well this challenge was to use Beads in some way and to tell you the truth I have tons of micro beads that I NEVER use so this was a good challenge for me. I also had to use one of my Bellas! I also cut out bellas pants in the patterned paper that I used on the card. I think it looks pretty darn cute! The recipe for the card is: Positively pink, Tempting turquois CS. Orange polka dot ribbon from the dollar rack at Target and the stripe paper is called "wall of stripes" Enjoy!

Beates Sketch Challange #32

Image
This is a card I made using the sketch challenge that Beate had for this weekend. I have so many papers in my collection it was a hard choice but this is what I came up with! The circle paper is by Sandylion and is called "circle Dreams" and the stripe paper is something I picked up at Big Lots. I just love going to Big lots and seeing what they have! You gotta check out there school supplies section. Any ways, The stamp I used is from Missy B designs and she has some of the cutest stamps ,check out the website HERE . For the cardstock I used, Pale plum, brocade blue and barely banana. and the saying stamp it is from Totally cool stamp set from SU!

My Daughters wish open house

Image
Well tonight I went to an open house at "My daughters wish" and got to make 3 ATC's from 3 different designers. It was alot of fun not to mention they had raffels, munchies and we got to meet some of the designers that do work for "MDW" The first ATC I did was designed by Lydia and you can check out some of her work at scrapinstyletv.com, I really really like this ATC and it only took a few minutes to make. The next ATC was designed by Lisa, I just love working with glitter and this one had plenty of it! I added a bakini top to the mermaid as to not be too well, nude : ) Love the crown! The third and final ATC that I did is equally as cute. This one was designed by Casey Maupin. This one was really quick and easy but equally beautiful!

My stampin area

Image
Well I do not have any creations to add tonight, I have lots in progress but nothing completed and tonight is American Idol night so I think I am taking the night off, as much as I dont want to. But, I did want to add some pictures of my stampin area. I have half of the room and my boyfriend has the other half for his train layout. I compromised, Wasnt that nice of me? LOL! Anyways onto the pictures! Hopefully I will have some swaps completed tomorrow, I am in like 6 swaps this month so I better get busy! Nighty nights!!

Beates weekend sketch challange #31

Image
Well I am attempting a sketch challange. This is my first one ever! I saw it on Beates blog "Fresh & Fun" I did the crayon resist technique.. I think it turned out kinda cute But we are always critical of our own work! These are the supplies that I used. Regal rose, basic black, almost amethyst & US white CS. the stamp set I used was SU! Petal prints, I stamped the flowers in basic black then outlined the flowers with a white crayon. I then sponged on regal rose,Mellow moss and rose red inks then rubbed pretty hard with a tissue and viola, you have the crayon resist! I then tied some mellow moss grosgrain ribbon around the stems of the flowers.

I found this tutorial at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com and thought I would give it a try. It is called the milk carton. I made this for a gift exchange partner that I have for this month and one of her fave candies is peanut M&M's so that is what I filled it with. I think I am going to try and make some more for my co workers since I work in a school cafateria and this is what our lunch milks look like it would be a great idea to give them something cuter than the average milk carton and candy in it instead of milk!

Valentine mini cartons

Image
I saw these cute little mini milk cartons on Rochelle's blog(she is so darn creative and inspirational to say the least!) I used brads to close them instead of staples because I am horrible at tieing bows so it was just easier for me to use brads. The stamp set that I used is a conversation heart stamp set that I got from CTMH years ago , I don't even remember what the sets name is. These little things hold 4 starbursts and are a great little Valentine!

Coaster Caddy and insert

Image
I had a bunch of these coasters that Christina gave me( Thanks a bunch Christina) and was looking for ideas as to what to do with them and so I went to one of the most awesomeist sites that there is(SCS) and searched for ideas and this is one of them that I found. I am not really sure as to what stamped images I want to add to them(they look kinda plain) so I am keeping my eyes open for ideas oh yeah, and maybe a new stamp or 2 to use on them. Oh darn, that means more shopping : )

Gardenbella

Image
I made this card just for fun. I just love coloring in my Bellas and seeing what I can put together! Leave me a comment and I just may send this to you! These are the supplies that I used on this card! Positively Pink, Brocade blue, Pretty in pink & US white CS. Thinking of you stamp from "Circle of Friendship" Stamp set Scallop punch, 1 3/8 circle punch. Opalescent "Tintzl" and little mini gems.

Bella Birthday swap

Image
This is a "Bella Birthday" swap that I am in. You cant tell too much from the photo but the presents are raised with foam dots. It added dimension to the card. I also used Stickles on the belt. I finally found those darn things at Frugalities(gotta check out that site!) I am thinking that there is still something missing in the upper right and left corners of the card but I can seem to decide what to put there if anything at all.

Our new Home away from home

Image
Craig and I are so excited. We got our first brand new (well 2005) camping trailer. We are going to be on the road all summer, well when we dont have to work that is! The cooloest thing about this Trailer is the beds pop out on each end and they are like queen size and both have heated matress's. Too cool! I even have a table inside that I can take my scrapbooking stuff along with me and work on my pages. Oh the possibilities!

My visit with Roz

Image
I had a nice visit with Roz http://wolfepak5.blogspot.com/ when she made a trip to Cali. Craig and I met her and her son David in San Francisco . The picture of me is on Lombard street(the crookedest road in the world) I hope I spelled that right. Wait, is crookedest even a word? Anyways, and the picture of Roz and I has Alcatraz in the background.

It's official, I've become my mother

I just love this little lady and the saying is so perfect!

Brando's soda fountain

Image
ok, I had to post this. Brandon got this in his Christmas stocking and he just couldnt wait to paly with it. What you do is get a bottle of soda(diet of course, we dont want ants) then you put on this plastic thing a ma jig and add mint Mentos into it then pull the string and it drops the mentos into the bottle and then you have a stream of fizzy soda. We actually wanted to see it explode but we pretty much just got a fountain of soda. Anything that makes a mess you will find my child happy as can be!!

Darling "Jammybella"

Image
I am posting jammybella as my first photo on my new blog! I love how this card turned out. I just started throwing it together and I think it turned out really cute! I am so hooked on Bellas, Just cant get enough!
