Just a quickie...

Image
Hello my friends, Not too much today, Just a quickie card that I put together for a sketch challenge and never even posted it so since I haven't posted in a couple of days I figured I would get this on and let you all know what I am up to. The colors I used in this one were Cameo coral,Close to cocoa, green galore and pale plum. The stamps are from all night media and I printed the sentiment in works. I really didn't care for this too much as it just wasn't flowing right for me but I guess it is kinda cute. I have been kinda busy lately with school starting and all. You see, I am a lunch lady for the school district which means I work only school days, so I have been off the entire summer and I am looking back now thinking where in the world did this summer go? I have so many things I want to do before going back to work but there is only less than 2 weeks left, Yikes! I have Scrapbook pages to complete, Challenges to do until all hours of the night, stamps to purchase, oh

Happy Birthday to my Sissy Pooh!

Image
Hello all my stamping and scrapping friends. What a week. I have completed 6 sketch challenges and had a blast every inch of the way! This is one that I did for Splitcoaststampers . it is this weeks sketch challenge and this one was really easy. I think what made it easy for me was I didn't use any stamps. My younger sisters 37 th . birthday is on the 23rd. so I wanted to make her a really nice card since she lives so far away and I don't get to see her . check out the word birthday, You know what those letters are? They are so cool. They are made by Making memories and they are called Ready-To- Glitter stickers. I added them to the card and you use a bone folder to make sure they are totally stuck to the card stock and then you peel off a layer and add glitter. Really cool! I then also added some bling and this was a pretty large piece so I had to cut it to fit but I think it looks great! I know my sissy pooh is going to love it! My colors for this card were Rose Red, S

Mojo Monday #98

Image
Here we have another Mojo Monday, I love Mondays only for the Mojo! I used an image that I received in a swap so I am not really sure of the name of it(so if you know, tell me so I can order more!!!) These are the supplies that I used, The base of the card is Apricot appeal, I also used Brilliant Blue and a smooth white. The DP is Sky lights by piggy tales, it is a double sided dp so the green that my image is on is from that same piece. The blue glitter paper is from DCWV. I also printed my sentiment from the computer which brings me to what exactly it says, "Have a totally maney ("MAY NEE") Birthday Now, MANEY is a word that teenagers at Concord H.S.(where my son will be a freshman) use. The first time I heard this word, I was like "what in the heck does that mean?" so, My neighbors daughter who just graduated from Concord H.S. and was a varsity cheerleader explained to me that is was just a word that she came up with for no reason really and now everyone

Flower Pot card

Image
Here is another Tutorial that I found on Splitcoaststampers and Wow! This one was vary cool! You can find the Flower Pot Tutorial HERE ! The author of this tutorial is Stephanie Luman . You can also check out here Blog HERE ! What fun! I didn't do it exactly as the tutorial said but it turned out just fine! I didn't have the sizzix die cut flowers so I just used one of my flower punches and added some card stock to the back of each flower to make it a little more sturdy. I used Stampin Up! Bella Rose DP for the flowers and the strip on the front of the flower pot.I also used Stampin Up! Buttons in Green galore on the flowers. The sentiment is from Stampin Up! and is called Friendship Blooms. I also used a rub on on the bottom of the flower pot. This also fits perfectly into an A2 envie!
