Mojo Monday #353- Yayyyyyy!

Hello Friends, Today I have a challenge card for you that I created for "Mojo Monday"
I haven't played along in any sketches lately so it's time for me to pick up where I left off. Mojo Monday is one of my fave sketch challenge sites.
So, for the details, I used an ivory for my base and also used Garden Green and pretty in pink card stocks from Stampin Up! The DP I used is from a 6X6 stack called "Anthologie" by We R Memory keepers. I added an antique brad and some twill trim and at the bottom is some green ball trim from my stash. I used my oval  nesties and stamped "Just a note to say Hello and i heat embossed that in green. I then inked the edge of that oval piece.

There you have it, What do you think?

Well, That's all for me now. I will be back real soon to share some more of my creations!

Whew, It's been a while

Hello Friends, I have been gone for a long time now and I think it's time for me to get it in gear and share what I have been up to the last couple of months. Well, first things first, I am on summer break right now, Woo Hoo!!!!! Oh, did I think that out loud? LOL! Well, I was very ready for summer break. So, on top of being on summer break, I did get a part time summer job, I am a cashier at (drum roll please.....)  Hobby Lobby. Concord, Calif. finally got a Hobby Lobby. It's a fun place to work and we are closed on Sundays so I wont miss the swap meet that my husband and I go to every week, yayyyyyy!  It is so much fun to see the new paper crafting goodies that come in and even better is getting my crafty, inky little chubby fingers on all of the Clearance goodness! Even though we are a newly opened store, We have the most beautiful clearance wall. I try to refrain but c'mon, it would be so wrong for me to pass up a Tim Holtz banner die for $2.00, Now wouldn't it?
So, anyways, that is how I have been spending my summer break so far, I actually started working at HL in May so I was really really part time but now that break is here I am working not too shabby hrs. 3 days a week 8-5.
So, onto my crafting, I have a couple of swaps that I have been working on. One was a 4th. of July Shabby Chic #8 tag.
This is the tag that I made for a swap I hosted on "Swap-Bot"  I had fun working on this one.Not only was I hosting the swap but my really sweet friend Shawnee was my partner.
For the string of flat back pearls that are on there in red, white & Blue, I actually didn't have any blue ones so I threw some white ones in a zip lock baggie and squirted some Adirondack alcohol ink in the color "sail boat blue" and let it sit for a while and Voila, red, white & "Blue" flat back pearls.
The flags that I used are ones that I got at HL. They are actually made for cupcakes but they were perfect for what I needed them for.
As for the scrabble letters, USA, I actually purchased 2 scrabble games at the flea market, 1 for $1.00 and 1 for 75¢ and all I wanted were the letters. Not too shabby for $1.75!  oh how I love the flea market!

Well Friends, That is about all I have for now. I will however be back tomorrow night to share another swap that I am in before I send it off! Have a safe and wonderful Friday night!

Hello Friends, Just wanted to drop a quick line to let you all know that I am still around. I have been super busy and just couldnt find the time to get a post out to you guys. So, I have finished a few projects lately, Just doing some playing around.
So, this first card is one that I created and really, just playing around. I had purchased a roll of 10 yards of 2mm. bling, Oh how I love Bling. I just wanted to use it on something so on the sentiment is where I chose to place it. It just adds a little bit of something to an otherwise flat card.
For this next photo, I have been really having some fun creating chunky charms. This is one of my first charms and I really had fun creating it.

This next creation is a tag that I created for a swap that I was in. Now, I love love love these Prima doll stamps, The possibilities are endless as far as dressing them. If I am ever bored or cant quiet find the creativity in me, then I color and dress a Prima doll. That gets the ball rollin,Funny, isn't it?

And now for my final creation, I actually went off of a passed sketch from a sketch blog online and I LOVE how this one turned out. I actually used a chip board letter of which I have never used in my cards. I am trying to find new things to use in my "old" stash. Does that make sense? I have SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many supplies and embellishments that I don't even know what I have. Really, Sometimes it is a little overwhelming. I just cant control myself when it come to paper crafting supplies, or beading or mixed media. Oh boy, oh my! ☺
So, those are a few of the things that I have been up to. I have a few more things to share with you all, One being a contest that I won with Tombow while at CHA back in January. So much fun!
OK, it's off to bed for me but I will return real soon my friends!!

Mwah!!!

Mojo Monday on a Friday Night

Happy Friday Friends, This week went by really fast and I am so glad it did. I have a craft fair to get ready for and it seems like during the week, I cant get the time in to get organized . So, I have about 200 Christmas cards that I want to complete and other misc. Christmas items, Like Reindeer food and little goodies like that.
So, onto the card sketch, This one is from Mojo Monday and what a fun one it was. I just got this cool DSP and was wanting to put something together with it. It is MME "Breeze"  Pretty, huh?  What you see  below is I sprayed the yellow flag panel with radiant pearls for a little bit of shimmer.

The sentiment is one of which I have in my stash. I heat embossed in black. You cant really see the shininess of it but it added some shiny to the creation.
So, I am off to work on some Christmas stuff but I will return very soon! Have a great weekend all!

The Sweet Stop...

Hello all. Well it is Sunday evening and it is time for this weekend to wind down. Why can't we have 2 day work weeks and 5 day weekends? Boy, wouldn't this world be a much happier place to live? I would even work 15 hrs each of those 2 days. Really, I would!
Anyways, I have another creation to share with you all. I created this one off of the above sketch from The sweet stop. What a fun sketch and what a fun card this one turned out to be? I think this is my new favorite stamp set from Stampin Up! "Gorgeous Grunge" is the name of it and it is so so much fun!!  All of the supplies that I used on this creation are from Stampin Up! The sentiment is from an old SU! set "Best Yet"

This creation is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.Aren't the new "In colors great"? I used Strawberry slush and coastal cabana on this along with going grey, basic black and white.
So, there you have it. What do you think? I would love to hear your comments!!
I will be back sometime this week so, everyone, Have a great Monday!!
