A quickie Challenge card

Your on my mind
Hello all, I just wanted to share with you all a challenge card that I just completed. I am having some blogger/computer issues so I need to make this quick before I get another darn error message. I know my compuetr is ready to go into the shop and get worked on but I have been puting it off cause I dont want to go without my compuetr but I am only pro longing the the inevitable so, onto the creation, the challenge is from Frosted Designs and I really enjoyed making this! I basically used some scrap DP that I had and that I totally love and used some Rose Red card stock and embossed it with my most fave Embossing folder, Swiss Dots, printed out "your on my mind" onto neenah white cs, added some perfect plum eyelets and then added some white/off white bakers twine and there you go. I hope you enjoy my creation and I will try and visit back with you all before weekends end just to check in and say Hi and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

Home from CHA

Hello friends, I just wanted to share a quick post with you all on my awesome trip to Sunny Southern Cali to CHA(Craft & Hobby association) and OMG, It, again was so much fun!! I have tons of pictures to share and so many new techniques that I want to try and then share with you all. I arrived in L.A. on Friday(cha didnt officially start until Sunday) but I had classes on Saturday so we wanted to get there a little early and settle in. We stayed at a hotel that was within walking to and from the convention center. I did alotta walkin in the 5 days that I was there. My feet still hurt. LOL!
So, One of  the classes that I took was an ATC class and not only did we make ATC's we also used Luminarte. I have found a new fave. Luminarte twinkling H2O's. They are so much fun oh and I have a quick story regarding Twinkling H2O's. Today(Sunday) I go to the flea market, well my husband and I usually go together every Sunday but he had to go and do an estimate(he's a tile setter) so I went by myself. Anyways, I was walking thru and I see all these wood mounted rubber stamps so I start to go thru them and and well, I really didn't find any that I just had to have so I start to walk away then I see in this basket, this little tiny container so I go over to it and what do I find??? Oh, I am so jazzed bout this, a bunch of the small jars of Luminarte twinkling H2O's. so I ask how much and they say $10.00 and I ask, well, will you take $7.00? They do so I am even more excited. I purchase my items and walk away just totally excited. So, I get home and I sit down to count them and write down all of the names of the ones I have and guess how many I got for $7.00?  86, Yes, I bought 86 brand new twinkling H2O's for $7.00( and there is not a duplicate in the bunch.) Is that the coolest or what? I just thought it was even cooler since I just took classes at CHA working with the Twinkling H2O's. Talk about luck!!!
So, anyways, I also took a class working with Viva  Inka-Gold and they gave us like 7 small pots of the cool paints. Thats the one awesome thing about going to CHA is you get soooooo many free things. You really should drive so you can cart all of your goodies home!   I also took a class working with Bella Blvd. They have some adorable things coming out real soon. It is just like being a kid let loose in a candy store with all of the goodies that you get to take home. Not to mention, you get to view and purchase your items that you will sell in your store so, I have some new things that I will be selling in my etsy store, Right now, the shelves are kinda bare so I made a purchase with Tattered Angels and 7 Gypsies, I brought some catalogs home so I can make some more purchases to add some more goodies to my store. Come on over and check it out, maybe there is something that you just have to have to create!!

Also, All of the absolutely beautiful samples made by All of the wonderful designers. I have over 200 photos of some great samples of scrap book pages, cards, ATC's, Altered canvas boards, etc.
So, this was my 2nd. year going to CHA and I already cant wait until next year!! I will share some more with you all in a couple of days, I am still un packing and trying to figure out where I am going to put all of my new supplies and I am also going to be holding a Blog Candy so you will want to come back in a few days(Friday) wink! wink!

A new challenge

Hello Friends! I hope everyone started of this New Year on a positive note. So far so good for me.
I thought it was about time that I completed a challenge card. This challenge is from Scrapbook Stamp Society, I had never even heard of this challenge blog before and when I found it I was like, Cool! I needed a new challenge blog. I have had to delete some of my challenge blogs from my side bar. They have pretty much closed down so I have been on the hunt for some new ones. If anyone knows of any good ones, Please share. One of my New Years resolutions was to work on doing more challenges and being more active on my Blog. I have so neglected it.
So, onto the challenge. This one was to use Hearts and Flowers.Well, how easy is that? I think I captured that in my creation.  Basically, I made an envelope from the bigz scallop envelope die. I then punched bunches of hearts with my Nestabilities scallop hearts  dies and also using the Stampin Up! Love you much stamp set and punch.  It's like the envalope is bursting with hearts!!
For the flowers, I added them and then added some distress stickles to all of them to add some sparkle and I also used stampin Up's version of stickles in Cherry Cobbler onto the heart that says"Be Mine". Oh, and if you can tell, I embossed some of the hearts and the envie with multiple embossing folders. I just love adding dimension! The designer paper I used is called Posh and I am not sure who it is by but it is double sided and full of hearts!!  So, there you have it. I hope you enjoy my creation and this week I am hoping to get in at least one more challenge before I leave for CHA. When I return from CHA, I will be holding a sweet bit of candy on here so after the 1st. of Feb. dont forget to come back and visit!!!

Valentines is my fave

The bling in the middle of the bows

Hello Friends, First things first, I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday and a very Happy New Years! I cannot believe it is already 2012. I only have a year and a half and my only baby boy will be graduating High School. They grow up way too quick. Anyways,  I have been MIA for quiet a bit. Sorry bout that. I have been so engrossed in Swap-Bot. This tag is for a Valentines shabby chic and pink Tag swap that I am hosting. I really really like Pink and Bling  and this tag shows that. It is a #8 size tag and what I did was first did 1 coat of Pink acrylic paint then I did a coat of crackle medium and once that dried, I painted over that with White acrylic paint.  That is also the same thing that I did with the die cut hearts(which are card board by the way).
The bow I made was with my wood bow maker. I then added the "bling" to the middle of the bow. Isn't it purty?

I will probably be pretty absent at least for the rest of this month, I am going to CHA again this year at the end of the month and I have a few swaps that I need to finish before I leave. I think I am in like 12 swaps : )! If you haven't checked out Swap-Bot yet, do it, You will get sooooo addicted!! I will see you all soon

A little of this & A little of that but all fun

Hello Friends, As you can tell, I have been gone for quiet a while. Well, I really don't have an excuse except that I have been so engrossed in Swap-Bot  that I have totally neglected my Blog. I started a group on Swap-Bot and have been trying to think of swaps that I can hold in the group. Please, Come on over and check it out. Once you get started, You just cant do 1 swap. At the end of this post, I will share some of the awesome swaps I have been in!
I have also been trying to get ready for the up coming Holidays. I have also really slacked on my Christmas cards. That's is going to change this weekend. I have a Cookie exchange to go to on Saturday but for the rest of the weekend I will be creating. Instead of mass producing the same card, I make about 7 or 8 different ones. I just have to be difficult. LOL!
So, Onto the creations that I wanted to share with you all, I really hope you all like them and don't forget to share your opinions. I love to hear what you all have to say! So for now, I will see you all real soon!

A swap and Swap-Bot

Hello all, Well here I am with a project  that I have been working on. This specific Tag is a swap that I am in on Splitcoaststampers. It is a "Love" theme. I really like the way they turned out. Most of the embellishments used on these tags is Tim Holtz. I love love love his products. I am also lovin the shabby chic,Vintage look as well.  I completed 7 of these tags and in return, I will get 6 different tags back. the only thing is these are not due until Jan 25th. LOL! I was on a creative roll so I took advantage of that!!
The really really cool part of these is the ribbon. I actually tea dyed fabric and then stamped on it with Tuxedo black ink as you can see in the bottom right picture.
Now, I want to bring up another great site for swaps. Swap-Bot. I would love to see some of my friends come and join my group over there. I have a ton of swap Ideas that I am sure you will all love. My main idea right now is that of an altered cigar box filled with (I haven't decided on an amount yet) stamping/scrapping goodies. that sounds like fun right? Or maybe Themed ATC's?   Maybe even hand made flowers? The one good thing about swap-bot is that most of the time, You only have 1 partner. The only time you have more than one partner is when the person who is hosting the swap creates a swap with multiple partners. I just love this site so much, I want all of my creative friends to join, There are swaps for every interest under the sun.Come on over and check it out and maybe even join. I would love to see some of my followers joining in on some swaps. These are somemore of the ideas I have for some swaps,, Themed ATC's ,Altered tag swaps, Altered Altoid tins, Themed match box with little goodies. I have so many ideas of swaps that I want to do plus, if you are interested in becoming an officer in my group, you will have special privileges and even host your own swaps as well. If you have any ?'s regarding becoming an officer, please email me, I would love to hear  from you!! If you join Swap-Bot, Don't forget to search  for my group "Altering papercrafts extravaganza"
I hope to see you over at Swap-Bot, We will have so much fun!!!

Some ATC's, Oh how I love Tim Holtz!!!

Hello Friends, Sorry I have been gone for so long. I have been working on lots and lots of swaps from SCS and Swap Bot. I have the swap fever. So, with that being said, my main projects have been ATC's. These 2 are from a swap that I hosted. Making your ATC using Tim Holtz products. I have been going nuts with the Tim Holtz. All of  his stuff is so cool! The base of these ATC's is from a 12X12 stack. The "key to my heart" ATC includes grunge paper, small antique key rock candy distress paint on the heart and the heart is also embossed with a swirls EF. The bow at the top is fabric that I tea Dyed. I tea dyed a huge batch of  tags and fabric. I love the Vintage look!!!
I added an arrow with a brad into the heart. I just really like how both of these ATC's turned out.
Well, I am off for now. I have some more swaps to get ready to ship out and if you are interested in joining in on the great swaps go on over to www.swap-bot.com You will have so much fun with the variety of swaps, you wont know which to join first.  See you all soon!
